I've been going back to Ireland over the back several years and the old country keeps calling me back. My last couple trips to Ireland were with the Florida band Southwind. We had a grande time and traveled throughout the west part Ireland in County Clare. Ireland turned out to be so much fun I'm going to do it again in the summer of 2009. I'd like to invite you to consider joining this group on the 2010 Irish Music Tour. The dates are tentative from the time frame of June 5th to July 5th of 2009.

We'll be going back to Ireland again to enjoy the old country. It keeps calling me back. My last couple trips to Ireland were with the my friends in the Florida band Southwind. We had a grande time and traveled throughout Western Ireland and County Claire. Ireland turned out to be so much fun I'm going to do it again in the summer of 2009. The dates are from June 26th to July 5th of 2009. We have music sessions and several special guests arranged for the tour. If you contacted me and got on the mailing list, I'll be contacting everyone soon, as we need to make some choices soon.
Tom, our guide, is working on getting airfare prices and we should have your departure date.some good options soon. I'm checking on flights and they change the closer you get to
As far as cost, The cost for the tour is $1950 per person based on double occupancy. For a single room it's $2300. They will do our best to match up roommates if preferred.
The fee covers all ground transportation, all lodging (including full breakfasts each morning), 3 evening group meals, and the costs for our featured Irish musicians, poets, writers, etc.
So if you add the flight of about $450 - 900 ( may be lower, we're checking) the price is $2850, plus your beer money. You don't need any money for transportation, so you'll need a little for the evening meals not covered. Prices are about the same as US, a little more on restaurant food. (it is an island).
So, all in all, I budgeted about $3,000 to $3,500 TOTAL for everything,
to allow for frivolous purchases.
The plan is to travel, stay in an area for 3 days ( dont' have to pack up every night), go off each day to explore cool and magical places, then pub it at night, stay in motel. 3 days later, move on. It's not a "It's Monday, we must be in Belgium) type thing. Lots of music. We're looking at Dingle, Cork, Doolin and maybe Galway.
This is kind of a thing for the folk musician lifestyle, but making it so we don't have to deal with the hassles of renting vehicle, booking rooms, etc.
If you have something special you want to see or do, let me know.
You will LOVE Doolin.
